They take special orders. I ordered no oil, no brown sauce more vegetable. It came out healthier than regular and I like the way how they cook.
As I am working in the area this was the second Chinese restaurant I tried for delivery. This will be my last one to try. I barely give 5 stars and are very hard to please when it comes to food. Enough said my food order was PERFECT! Not a thing to complain about. The food arrived hot! The tostones were sliced thin and nice and crispy, not saugy or greasy. The chicken wings were fresh, NO greasy oil smell or taste! The house lomein was great too NOT swimming in soy sauce and lots of meat. As I am here a few more weeks certainly will order here again...
I thought it was quite solid! I had delicious food in a huge portion (easily two meals worth) that was cheap and prepared fast. The service was nice, the cashier helped me through the big menu for what was best. The mood of the place is nothing to write home about, and that's perfectly okay for this type of establishment. I think some of reviews touch on a bit of a cultural disconnect/barrier- I've spoken Mandarin my whole life and am used to the experience, but if this is your first time getting Chinese food from like a mom-and-pop place the incredibly long menu and general vibe might throw you off. Despite that, I'd still recommend this place!

My go-to Chinese place. The family who runs the establishment are always super modest and nice and very efficient. It was extremely well done how the food went and my plate of choice will always be General Tso's Chicken. All the food they serve is very good and made with love. Would definitely recommend!
Family owned business. Great food, very flavorful and recently priced food. Order is always taken by Michael, his wife or one of their young children who are learning the value of work from their parents. I never get tired of ordering form there. My favorite Chinese restaurant in Astoria for the last 12 years or so. It won't disappoint!
First timer - prices are decent, pork fried rice is made proper - I got the shrimp and lobster sauce and the chicken in garlic sauce (which comes with quite the assortment of veggies). This will be my go-to spot moving forward! Cheap & speedy eats!!!! NOM!
Since our last spot left Astoria, we were on the hunt for the next best thing! Here comes Golden House; literally down the block from our apt. It is a family run business that is always open no matter the weather or holiday. Their food portions are fair and always fresh. We try to come here at least once a week. Last time we had food from here was Christmas Day and it did not disappoint. My parents loved it! Definitely our favorite Chinese spot in Astoria.
